You don't have to give up deserts to avoid processed sugars. Here are some sugar-free recipes using Stevia. Stevia is an herb used for sweetening. It is 30 on the Glycemic Index.
Apple Cobbler Ingredients:
4 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup flour
2 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp STEVIA powder
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup melted butter
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients, add beaten egg. Stir until crumbly. Place apples in greased 10" pie or cake pan. Spoon mixture over apples. Bake 350 for 45 minutes until apples are tender.
Spiced Oatmeal Ingredients:
2/3 cup Instant or Regular Oatmeal, About 4 shakes of STEVIA, About 4-6 dashes of Cinnamon, About 3-4 dashes of Ground Cloves, About 1-2 dahes each of Cardamom, Ground Ginger and Nutmeg
Instructions:
Prepare oatmeal as directed. Add STEVIA and spices -- vary the amounts to individual taste.
Delicious Lemonade Ingredients:
2 or 3 tsp STEVIA 2 liters Water, 1 Lemon and/or 1 lime, 1 tray ice cubes (10 or 12)
Instructions:
2 liter pitcher: place ice in first add STEVITA, add juice of 1/2 large lemon or 1 small lemon, add juice of 1 lime (optional) variation - use 3 limes instead of lemon.
Restaurant Variation - bring STEVITA with you - order ice water and ask for a dish of lemons on the side - flavor/sweeten to taste (1-2 slices of lemon and 2 dashes STEVIA per glass).
Banana Bread Ingredients:
2 eggs or egg substitutes, 2/3 C. Butter, melted 1 C. mashed bananas (about two), 1/3 C. Milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 1/2 C. Wholewheat flour, 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp., salt 1 tsp. STEVIA 1/2 C. chopped nuts
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350. Comine eggs, butter, bananas, milk and vanilla. In another bowl combine the rest of the ingredients. Add banana mixture to dry ingredients. Mix until moistened. Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake about 1 hour.
Cream Cheese Orange Pie Ingredients:
Crust: 10 Graham Crackers (GLYCEMIC INDEX 75) , 1/2 Teaspoon STEVIA Powder, 1 cube butter, or margarine (melted) Filling: 1 Cup heavy whipping cream, 1 8oz package cream cheese (softened), 1/2 teaspoon STEVITA powder, 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon Orange flavoring (I use an oil purchased at a health food store), 1 11oz can mandarin oranges (drained)
Instructions:
Crust: Crush graham crackers, place in an 8" pie plate, add stevia powder and mix well. Add butter or margarine and blend with a fork. Press evenly in sides and bottom of pan. Refrigerate while preparing the filling. Filling: In a small mixing bowl, whip heavy whipping cream at high speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy. In separate, larger mixing bowl, whip cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add STEVIA powder, vanilla, and orange flavoring. Mix at low speed until well blended. Fold in prepared whipping cream until well blended. Spoon into prepared pie crust. Top with mandarin oranges. Variations: Leave out orange flavoring and stir in a can of crushed pineapple (drained) before pouring into crust. Leave off the oranges. Add 1/4 teaspoon coconut flavoring for a "Pina Colada" flavor. This is a very creamy pie and refrigerates well. Enjoy!!!
Healthy Oat/Bran Cookies Ingredients:
1&1/2 cups apple sauce, or (apple mix(raspberry/banana or strawberry) sauce) 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp allspice, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp STEVIA, 3 cups rolled oats, 1 cup 100% All Bran Cereal, 1/3 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup sliced almonds (or nut of your choice), 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
in small bowl: 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp allspice, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp STEVIA, 2 eggs, 1&1/2 cups apple sauce, or (apple mix(raspberry/banana or strawberry) sauce). Blend with mixer or thoroughly by hand. Stir in 3 cups rolled oats, 1 cup 100% All Bran Cereal, 1/3 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup sliced almonds (or nut of your choice), 1 cup raisins Bake @350 degrees F for 11 - 12 min. Let cool & enjoy. Kids love them!!!
Applesauce Bread Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup wholewheat flour
1/2 cup bran
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp STEVITA powder
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 cups applesauce
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger
Instructions:
Add all dry ingredients together in one bowl. Cream in shortening. Add egg and applesauce in separate bowl and then fold into dry ingredients. Bake in a 5" X 9" greased loaf pan at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
Grapefruit Slushy Ingredients:
1/2 cup of fresh squeezed grape fruit, 1 cup of water 4-6 ice cubes, Stevita to taste
Instructions:
Blend in blender & enjoy on your hot days!! Replace the grapefruit fresh squeeze with another favorite fruit (orange or lemon).
Cranberry Sauce Ingredients:
12 to l6 oz. bag fresh or frozen cranberries l (1 pound 4 ounce) can crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice. Stevia to taste.
Instructions:
Sort and wash cranberries. Combine berries and pineapple with juice in 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer l5 minutes or until all berries have popped and sauce thickens. Serve warm or chilled. Makes 3 cupfuls. Freezes well.
Flourless/Sugarless Chocolate Cake Ingredients:
14 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped 3/4 cup, plus 2 TBS unsalted butter, 10 egg yolks, 1 tsp Stevita, 1 TBS vanilla extract, 1 tsp lemon juice, 10 egg whites, 1/2 tsp Stevia, 2 cups heavy cream, whipped.
Instructions:
Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler, or in microwave. Set aside to cool slightly. Beat yolks and the stevia until smooth; stir in vanilla and lemon juice. Blen in chocolate mixture. Beat egg whites in large mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1/2 tsp Stevia, beating until stiff peaks form. Stir 1 cup whites into chocolate mixture, then fold in remaining whites. Pour batter into a 10 or 12-inch pan which has been greased and floured and lined with wax paper. Bake in a preheated over at 250 F for 2 1/2 hours. Cool COMPLETELY on a rack before removing from pan. Serve with whipped cream.

Sugar-Free Raspberry Jam Ingredients:
1¾ ounce packet no-sugar-needed pectin ¾ cup cold water 2½or 3 cups of raspberries (fresh or frozen) ½ Tablespoon stevia Several shakes each of cinammon and ground cloves
Instructions:
1.Mash raspberries by hand or by food proecessor. 2.In small saucepan, combine pectin and water. Over medium heat, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add to raspberries and stir for 1 minute. Add Stevia, cinammon and cloves and stir for 2 minutes. 3.Fill jars to 1/2 inch from the top. Seal and let stand at room temperature until firm (several hours). Refrigerate until chilled, or place jam in freezer.
Brown Rice Treat Ingredients:
Brown Rice, Stevita, Cinnamon, Dash of salt (optional), Water
Instructions:
To cooked brown rice add a little Stevia (to taste) and cinnamon and dash of salt. Moisten as desired with water and microwave until steaming. Very good as breakfast treat or on a cold day.
Biscuits Ingredients:
3 cups wheat flour
1 cup flour
1 3/4 oz butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp Stevita
1 pkg yeast
1/2 c water, warmed
1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Dissolve yeast and stevia in warm water. Beat butter and eggs in separate bowl, then add flour, yeast mixture and vanilla. Let stand 40 minutes. Roll out and cut into small biscuits. Bake at 350 of 30 minutes.
Chocolate Cupcakes Ingredients:
1 cup 100% whey protein ( I use Vanilla), 4 packages of STEVIA, 2 Eggs, 1/2 cup cold Butter, cut into peices 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 2 Tbls. cocoa, 1/4 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
Mix whey protein , STEVIA, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa in a medium bowl. Add eggs, cream,water and butter. Beat until blended, about 2-3 minutes. Grease or line 12 muffin cups and divide the batter between the 12. Bake at 375 for around 15 minutes. Store in the refrigerator. ENJOY!
