All About Hot Flashes, Menopause, Low Libido and Your Starving Hormones By Stephanie Sulger RN, MS
Introduction Five years ago, when I joined the Medicine Plants™, the question I was asked most was, "How can I get rid of these awful hot flashes?" Today that is still the most frequently asked question.
For the thousands of women who were asking that question thousands more were suffering in silence. Most of them had spent years suffering from hot flashes. night sweats, fatigue, low sex drive, thinning hair, exhaustion, crawling skin, insomnia, weight gain, brain fog or memory loss and/or confusion and irritability.
This year 35,000,000 women will be suffering with those same symptoms. This will not make for a pleasant life in American households.
Menopause is a fact of life, but is suffering through it really necessary? Over 90% of the women experiencing menopause say they would do anything to get rid of the hot flashes and night sweats. Most women feel that the signs and symptoms of menopause are inevitable and that maybe nothing can be done to alleviate the discomfort, embarrassment and anxiety associated with the physical and mental symptoms of declining hormone levels.
Stopping hot flashes, night sweats, improving your energy and enthusiasm for life can be done!. By taking a look at why we have all these problems as we enter, or are in, menopause, we can take responsibility for them. Rather than looking outside ourselves to “fix” the problem we can look within and begin, perhaps for the first time in our lives, to stop starving for hormones.
Stopping menopausal problems isn’t just about taking herbs or supplements and poof - your problems are gone. While taking the right herb or supplement properly will make you feel better fairly quickly - the ongoing issue of hormonal malnutrition needs attention too.
The soon to be published, Hot Flash Book gives you all the information you need to take charge of your hormonal health and stop, forever, the cycle of Hormonal Malnutrition.
Here is an excerpt from the book - "Reversing Hormonal Malnutrition - Your Guide To Stopping Hot Flashes."
The Hot Flash and Its Friends You feel a warmth creeping up from your shoulders to your face and think you might be having a hot flash, but then again, it might just be the room temperature, or the weather, or what you are wearing. You wake up in the middle of the night sweating and throw the covers to the side, again, for the third time this week. You think it’s the thermostat and make a sleepy mental note to turn it down in the morning. During the day it occurs to you that you feel much more tired than you remember ever feeling...but maybe, you think, it’s your imagination, or that you need some vitamins. Your skin feels crawly sometimes but when you mention it no one else seems to know what you are talking about. Situations you are used to handling are now frustrating and you feel irritable, frustrated and short tempered over simple tasks. You never initiate sex anymore and feel unresponsive when your partner initiates it. Reaching a climax, if it happens at all, takes forever! And your memory and concentration are failing - that‘s called “brain fog." And your hair; some of it is going away - especially what was on your head, only to be replaced by a new crop on your chin! And then there’s the weight thing - yours is going up all by itself. Like it or not you have just joined 55,000,000 other women who are becoming menopausal.
The symptoms of menopause, which can last from 1 to 3 years, include:
Hot flashes and skin flushing
Night sweats
Insomnia
Mood changes including frequent swings of irritability, depression, and anxiety
Irregular menstrual periods
Spotting of blood in between periods
Vaginal dryness and painful sexual intercourse
Decreased sex drive
Vaginal infections
Urinary tract infections
Thinning hair
In addition, the long-term risks of menopause include:
Bone loss and eventual osteoporosis
Changes in cholesterol levels and heart disease
Menopause, that time of declining hormones, is inevitable, provided you live long enough. The good news is that these symptoms of menopause are avoidable.

The Menopause Epidemic If menopause were contagious it would have been considered an out of control and dangerous epidemic by the Centers For Disease Control a long time ago. Squads of uniformed medical personnel wearing helmets would have been dispatched to annihilate it from its infestation of millions of women. Instead, women are being told by their doctors that sweating, fatigue, brain fog, loss of sexual desire, hair falling out, thinning bones, heart disease, mood swings, crawly skin sensations and profound exhaustion are normal at this time of their lives and to take Hormone Replacement Therapy because that is the only way out of this mess. But, now the word is out that Hormone Replacement Therapy isn’t the panacea it was thought to be. Some women who relied on HRT died from heart attacks, strokes from blood clots and cancer - and it seemed very possible that HRT was the culprit.
This bad news about HRT spread quickly and millions of women began secretly stuffing their prescriptions for hormones into the bottom of their handbags and by-passing the drug store fearful now that their only hope for a reprieve from menopausal discomforts, HRT, might actually hurt them! Others felt that the risk was worth it and took their HRT dutifully but found that the fatigue and weight gain weren’t touched by the magic medicine and that in addition they suffered from anxiety and the worry of what bad news the next study on HRT would reveal.
The good news about menopause is in this book. You will read that you don’t have to suffer through menopause with hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, lost libido or any of the other menopausal problem women have come to believe they must endure. You don’t have to walk around with a prescription for HRT in your purse wondering if taking the hormone might just be worth the risk it carries. You can stop the menopausal symptoms you are having right now and, in fact, you can feel better in a matter of days.
The book, Hormonal Malnutrition, will introduce you to a whole new way of thinking about your menopausal symptoms and your health. The reasons why you suffer with hot flashes, night sweats and fatigue have been known to conventional medicine for a long time. Now this information is brought together and offered to sufferers in one easy to read book.
