How do I take MACA750™?
Most users begin with 4-6 capsules a day. Because hormone levels are lowest around 2PM it is best if the herb is taken at 2PM. Many women like to take 2 in the AM when they wake and 4 at 2PM.

How long do I stay at that serving size?
After all symptoms are in good control users can start reducing their amount by 1 capsule a week until they are comfortable and without hot flashes, etc. at around 1-3 capsules a day. Some women (and men) temporarily may initially need more MACA750™.

Are there any contraindications to taking MACA750™?
We suggest that those with a hormonally related cancer such as breast or prostate or those who have endometriosis contact their physician before using MACA750™ or any herb that affects hormone levels.

Will MACA750™ work for me if I have had a hysterectomy?
Yes, MACA750™ will promote the production of necessary hormones from your adrenal glands and adipose tissue.

I take thyroid medication. Will it interfere with MACA750™?
No. We do suggest having a TSH done 6 weeks after beginning MACA750™ since the herb can benefit thyroid function and you may need to reduce your thyroid medication.

I have high blood pressure. Can I take MACA750™?
Yes, if your hypertension is in good control.

What does the 750 stand for in MACA750™?
MACA750™ contains 750mg. of pure Maca root in a vegetable capsule.

Are there any additives in MACA750™?
No. MACA750 does not contain any fillers or additives.

Are there any side effects from taking Maca?
The Maca plant, which grows in the Peruvian Andes at 13000 feet, has been used as a food staple in that country for thousands of years. It could be thought of as our potato although it really belongs to the broccoli family. Peruvians proudly call Maca, "the best plant in the world" and with good reason. It is a dense root which contains a complex variety of nutrients, such as magnesium, calcium and plant sterols. Historically those who work at the high altitudes of the Andes have always used this plant to combat the stress of altitude fatigue. The plant was first studied in 1960 and it was found to contain substances that normalize hormone levels. Because Maca adapts to the needs of the body it was then classified as an adaptogen, a special classification of herbs that do no harm but rather "adapt" to what the body needs. For that reason Maca has no bad side effects. If you are producing enough estrogen or testosterone or adrenaline, for example, then Maca will not cause your body to overproduce these hormones. If you are experiencing a sudden drop off in estrogen during perimenopause then Maca will encourage the body to maintain a healthy level of this hormone appropriate to your age. This is why it is so effective against hot flashes.

How much do I have to take to stop hot flashes?
The longer you take Maca the less of it you will need. Most women in their 40's and 50's begin with 4-6 capsules a day of MACA750™ and then decrease down to 1-3 capsules a day after all of their symptoms are gone, including hot flashes, fatigue, night sweats and low libido.
